Westport, New York is a small town in Essex County on the Eastern shore of Lake Champlain. Westport is called the “Gateway to the Adirondacks” and is also the Birthplace of the Adirondack Chair. Correction: Westport is on the Western shore of Lake Champlain. The Eastern shore would be Vermont.

It is the most beautiful place that one could wish for. I will be in the area (Plattsburgh) next week visiting the place where I grew up.

I can’t disagree with you. The Adirondacks are a very special place and near and dear to my heart as well. So many picturesque small towns with friendly folks and grass roots values. There’s no place like home..
