Okay folks you have been asking for a great workamping position that pays wages – here you go! Don’t wait long because this sounds pretty good. – Jack & Niki
Hello Niki and Jack –
My husband and I have a guest ranch in western Colorado. We have 8 cabins, 10 RV sites, one bath house, a stocked lake, evening campfires, a barnyard full of animals and a kids play ground.
We have hired Workampers for several years and it has been a great experience every year. But, we recently got word that there is a health crisis with the gal that we hired for this summer (serious health crisis) and therefore they will not be able to work for us this summer. So, we are scrambling a bit to get another couple hired for this summer. You are probably aware of workamper.com and the service that they offer. It has been so helpful in the past but I have contacted every couple that I think could be a fit and I’m not having any luck. Any chance you know anyone in your circles who are looking for work for this summer???
Our needs are in repairs, maintenance, grounds keeping, cabin cleaning, office management, and everything in between.

Niki and I just received this note and will be adding “Hoodo” to our work camping listings on our webpage at http://www.snowbirdrvtrails.com/workamping.htm. “Hoodoo Recreation” is responsible for 150 campgrounds in the Northwest.
“I just stumbled upon your site (Love it!). I thought you might want to add HooDoo Recreation (out of Oregon) to your source for workamping opportunities in Washington and Oregon states. I’ve hosted for them before (as a local emergency host) and most places are for FHU RV site + pay! Love Hoodoo!” -B&L
Find more information about “Hoodoo” and how you may fit in at http://hoodoorecreation.com/hoodoo-recreation-employment/
The following is from the HooDoo website:
“Our hosts range from “volunteers” who receive a stipend to help pay for utilities to mostly full time attendants and managers who receive a place to stay and a higher salary. About half of our host sites have electrical hookups along with water and vaults. The earlier you commit to working with Hoodoo, the better the chances are that you will get the location that you want. In general though the nicer the campground and the better the hookups. The lower the wage, the more isolated the campground the higher the wage.
We have more then a hundred hosted campgrounds in Washington in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie, Wenatchee and Gifford Pinchot National Forests or in the Deschutes National Forests in Oregon. About a third of the campgrounds will have hosts living in the campgrounds and the other two-thirds will have attendants who stay in one campground and visit other campgrounds as well. Hoodoo provides work trucks for almost all attendants who have to travel as part of the job. We start our hiring process in October, but hire throughout the season through August.”
Travel safe and enjoy life’s journey,
Jack and Niki
